UK Status
Resident. A local species in Britain, rare in the
west, found as far north as Westmorland.
Montgomeryshire Status
First recorded in 2013 at Middletown in the east of the county. This
rare species is only the fourth record for north Wales.

Wild privet, sea-buckthorn and other shrubs.
Lifestage data
Case-bearing. Eggs probably laid on the flowers. Larva forms a flat
elongate case, constructed from fragments of leaves covered with
particles of soil. Pupates inside the larval case. |
